Blue Steel- The ranchers of Yucca City, whose town secretly sits atop the richest gold field ever discovered, are trapped by a gang of crooks that tries to starve them out, forcing them all to sell their homes for a few paltry dollars. Mysterious stranger John Wayne enters into an uneasy alliance with wily old sheriff George Gabby Hayes, who has mistaken him for the notorious Polka Dot Bandit (Yakima Canutt), before revealing his true identity.
Hell Town-Also known as Born to the West, and based on a novel by Zane Grey, this early effort finds the Duke playing opposite his fellow Western star, John Mack Brown, as cattle-driving cousins Dare Rudd and Tom Fillmore.
